Multidisciplinary Respiratory Medicine (MRM)
Multidisciplinary Respiratory Medicine (MRM)
Present on the national scientific since 2006: this is a new scientific journal with a very innovative feature of a strong interdisciplinary in respiratory medicine.
The goal is to create a new reality open to publishing original contributions in both national and international, can provide a forum for debate and discussion between all those involved in research and clinical practice in breathing.
MRM public, both in Italian and English, original articles, new methodological approaches, reviews, opinions, editorials, state of the art and documents of consensus on all issues related to the Respiratory Medicine
MRM reached an important goal: the indexing
Multisciplinary Respiratory Medicine, the official scientific body of Aimar, is indexed, with retroactive effect from January 2007, in Science Citation Index Expanded (SciSearch ©), in Journal Citation Reports / Science Edition and Scopus Elsevier Bibliographic Databases.
In practical terms, this means that a pulmonologist Italian, click on 'address, and selecting "Respiratory", you'll find' above, next to 'American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, at the European Respiratory Journal and other scientific texts of the great 8 prestige and impact, our Multisciplinary Respiratory Medicine. In addition to short, as soon as the formalities techniques, will be available online the abstracts of all articles published. Although probably not necessary, it should be noted that the Science Citation Index (which has more than 50 years of history, since it was originally produced by 'Institute for Scientific-ISI-informaiton in 1960) now owned' by Thomson Scientific-Thomson Reuters, 's archive of world reference for the scientific literature, is continually updated and currently includes in its online version, about 6400 papers on science and technology. For this it is part of the essential tools for any scientific research and is able to provide information on how many citations have been given a scientific paper or how many articles an author wrote or which articles on a particular topic, were the most 'cited. Be included in this archive means be under observation for the next two years, for the evaluation of the 'index of quotations. Be included in this archive makes possible the immediate demand for inclusion in a Med-line (already performed), with all that this' positive results in terms of dissemination, visibility ',' s image of a scientific journal. Be included in this archive, for a magazine born of little more 'than two years, Italian, and has decided to go a relatively new and unexplored as that interdisciplinary respiratory infection and a goal prestigious and unexpected while taking into account all 's energy and attention lavished: not even the leaders of the magazine would have bet all' start over such a 'coveted award in such a' short time. Aimar considers that, indexing as a starting point and certainly not of arrival.
In a sense, this first step, and 'greater recognition' QUALITY 'formal magazine (graphic design, technical and typographical quality of English, with absolute respect of the frequencies', constant regular column etc.) Tied to high such commitment and professionalism by publishing rather than its intrinsic quality '. Indexation should therefore start from a path through a further improvement of the quality 'and the variety' of what is published, in a short time to make a measurable impact factor. This, how and 'know, is calculated by dividing the number of articles cited in other publications, divided by the total number of articles published by the journal. Certainly, the indexing will help attract a greater number of original scientific work of quality both nationally and internationally, which is currently perhaps the somewhat 'lacking the magazine. The opportunity to appear with your article in Science Citation Index, with online access to the abstract, can contribute to the spread and the citation of the same and provide a clear incentive for the author.
