Guidelines for Authors
MRM - Multidisciplinary Respiratory Medicine - Guidelines Guidelines for Authors
All contributions should be prepared by following the directions below. Will in any case evaluated by the Editorial Board, who before accepting the content may make changes deemed necessary, inform the authors. Sections of the Journal
Editorials, original articles, reviews, state of the art consensus documents, conference proceedings, case reports, guidelines, study protocols, Letters to the Editor.
General Instructions
1. The manuscripts must be submitted in electronic format (Word, PDF) and written in the following order: a) title and author on the first page, b) abstract and key words in English and Italian, c) text d) thanksgiving and ) any notes on funding the study; f) bibliography; g) tables; i) the legend of the figures j) figures.
2. The manuscript must be accompanied by a declaration that the contents of the manuscript is original, has not been published and is being evaluated at other journals, except in the form of abstracts.
3. At the time of the contributions by the Editor, the authors must sign:
a) self-declaration on conflict of interest, b) the transfer of copyright to the Editor (the forms will be sent to Editorial Office).
No part of this material may be reproduced elsewhere without the written permission of the publisher.
These forms must return signed acceptance Editorial Office, via mail or fax.
4. For illustrations drawn unchanged from previous publications, the authors shall provide to provide authorization for use by the respective publishers.
Title Page
The title page should include: a) Title b) the full name and surname of the authors, with each affiliate, c) a short (titoletto / running title), d) in Italian manuscripts must display the title and short title in English, e) name, postal address complete with postcode, and e-mail of which must be addressed correspondence.
Summary
- Reviews, reviews, case reports and protocols must be accompanied by a summary in both Italian and English, with details of three to six keywords.
- For original articles, summaries must be organized into four sections, each with its own title in the following order: rationale, materials and methods, results, conclusions. All data of the summary must be presented in the text or tables.
Text
1. Must always be given the definition of any abbreviations and acronyms used in the text.
2. Standard units of measurement and chemical symbols should be abbreviated according to the standards prescribed by the uniformity Requirements for Manuscript Submitted to Biomedical Journal Editors published in Ann Intern Med 1982, 96:766-71 and BMJ 1982, 284:1766-70.
3. The references must be cited in the text consecutively, in square brackets and not superscripted.
4. Figures and tables must be cited in parentheses in the text, using Arabic numerals for figures (Figure 1) and Roman numerals for tables (Table I).
5. The text should be structured into paragraphs with related subtitles. The text of original articles should be divided into sections with the following order: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion.
Bibliography
1. The bibliographic entries should be indicated in the text and listed in a separate section in the sequence number in order of appearance in the text.
2. The authors are all mentioned (do not use "et al.") And the title should be reported in full. Abbreviations of journals must conform to those used by Index Medicus, National Library of Medicine. For style and punctuation of references follow the examples:

1. The figures should be attached in electronic format (jpg, tif, gif) high-definition and the name of the file must contain the identification number of the figure.
2. The figure captions should be included at the end of the text.
3. All abbreviations and symbols in the figure should be reported and explained in alphabetical order in the legend.
Tables
1. Tables should be included at the end of the text.
2. All abbreviations and symbols in the table must be reported and explained in alphabetical order in the legend.
